The beginning of a new chapter!

After 14 years running my own thriving and successful consultancy business, an unexpected and exciting opportunity has come my way. In May 2022, I accepted a new role at the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA), a global non-profit based in the USA. The CMTA is the driving force behind research into the causes of Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease and the development of treatments. CMT affects 1 in every 2500 people. It is a currently incurable, hereditary, motor and sensory neuropathy that damages the nerves, starting with the fingers and toes and progressing up the arms and legs. CMT is progressive and degenerative, getting worse with every passing year. It can be severely debilitating as the nerves disconnect from the muscles and the muscles begin to waste. CMT can be passed on from parent to child and can also occur spontaneously.

I will be making great use of my scientific research background, management expertise, industry training and translation experience as I oversee the CMTA’s research projects and communicate our progress to the global CMT community. It’s a real opportunity to make a difference to the 3 million people living with CMT.

I will be keeping this website open for now as I know many of you make use of my resources and publications.

I am hugely grateful for the support and loyalty of my clients and those I have worked with during my years as a consultant. I hope you will keep in touch and cheer me on as I take on this next adventure. Keep an eye on my social media accounts for regular updates as I dive into this new chapter!
